Intelligent Aksu, Decoding the Innovative Development Path of Internet Plus Intelligent Health Management

2025 / 06 / 29

Recently, the eighth annual academic conference of Internet Health Management Branch of China Health Management Association was grandly opened in the beautiful Aksu, Xinjiang. With the theme of "intelligent physical examination and intelligent health management", the conference gathered well-known experts and scholars in the field of health management nationwide to discuss the high-quality development path of "Internet plus health management".

At the "Internet Health Management Technology Innovation Forum" held on the afternoon of June 28, Professor Zhou Weihong, director of the Health Management Center of Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, presented the wonderful report of "Science Popularization Interpretation of Early Cancer Screening in the CACA Guidelines", deeply interpreted the cancer early screening strategy based on the CACA Guidelines, and shared the innovative achievements of TERIFAQ early screening technology, miRNA7 multimodal integration model, etc., which triggered a warm response from the experts present.

Professor Zhou first analyzed the significance of the Chinese Cancer Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines (CACA Guidelines). As a cancer prevention and treatment standard system tailored for the Chinese population, the CACA guidelines, the NCCN guidelines in the United States and the ESMO guidelines in Europe form a "tripartite confrontation" trend. It focuses on the epidemiological characteristics, genetic background and diagnosis and treatment characteristics of the Chinese population, emphasizes the whole process management concept of "prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and health", and has both Chinese characteristics and international perspectives. The cancer screening science popularization guide in the CACA guidelines elaborates on the significance and methods of early screening, which complement each other and provide highly targeted and practical guidance for China's cancer prevention and treatment work.

Professor Zhou pointed out that the five-year survival rate for early-stage tumors is about 89%, while the five-year survival rate for late stage tumors is only 21%. This significant difference highlights the key role of early tumor screening in improving cure rates and reducing mortality rates. Traditional early screening methods for tumors, such as endoscopy, imaging, and tumor marker detection, have certain limitations. Liquid biopsy technology, with its advantages of non-invasiveness and convenience, not only plays an important role in early screening and diagnosis of tumors, but is also widely used in efficacy monitoring and prognosis evaluation. Its good acceptability and real-time monitoring ability make it have broad prospects in clinical applications.

Professor Zhou also delved into several screening strategies for common cancers. Lung cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, and esophageal cancer are the five major causes of cancer deaths in China, accounting for 67.50% of total cancer deaths. Among them, as the fourth cancer in incidence rate and the second cancer in mortality in China, the situation of prevention and control of liver cancer is particularly grim. In the screening strategy for liver cancer, it is recommended to comprehensively consider the high-risk factors for liver cancer occurrence, imaging characteristics, and hematological molecular markers (serum AFP, DCP, 7 microRNA combinations), and conduct clinical diagnosis according to the steps of the liver cancer diagnosis roadmap. For high-risk populations, it is recommended to undergo routine screening every 3-6 months to achieve early detection and intervention.

Professor Zhou further introduced an innovative early screening technology - TERIFAQ (Target Enriched RNA Isolation for Amplification & Quantification) microRNA detection technology. This technology is based on targeted enrichment of RNA separation amplification quantitative detection. A single blood test can indicate the risk of cancer and assist in diagnosis. It has high sensitivity, can be dynamically detected multiple times, thereby reducing the distribution of late stage patients, and has excellent cost-effectiveness.

Seven microRNA detection kits, miRNA7, developed based on TERIFAQ technology, are the first liver cancer molecular detection products approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China, demonstrating excellent performance in early diagnosis of liver cancer. Compared with traditional liver cancer marker AFP detection, this technology has increased sensitivity by about 30%; Moreover, in patients where AFP cannot make a judgment, accurate diagnosis can still be made (sensitivity can reach 77.7%, specificity can reach 84.5%).

The latest clinical research confirms that the AI driven multimodal fusion model GALADM for early diagnosis of liver cancer performs excellently in the differential diagnosis of extremely early and early stages of liver cancer. It not only significantly outperforms single indicator detection, but also surpasses all previous models, providing a more efficient and economical solution for medical institutions to carry out precise health management.

At the end of the report, Professor Zhou emphasized that the essence of the CACA guidelines lies in advocating the concept of "prevention screening, prevention before disease". It comprehensively considers factors such as age, time, frequency, and method of screening, and provides detailed guidance for population screening, which has great guiding value for subsequent diagnosis and treatment. At the same time, improving the early diagnosis rate requires multiple efforts: on the one hand, we need to strengthen the popularization of science in the CACA guide, and on the other hand, we need to promote the application of innovative screening technology. With the deep integration of artificial intelligence, big data and other technologies with health management, more patients will benefit from the innovative model of "Internet plus+health management", and promote tumor prevention and treatment into a new era of precision and personalization.

The successful hosting of this conference has provided a high-level academic exchange platform for the field of health management. Experts at the meeting reached important consensus on the innovative development path of "Internet plus health management", which injected new momentum into the high-quality development of the discipline. Dunwill Medical will take this conference as an opportunity to further deepen scientific research innovation and technological breakthroughs, promote cutting-edge technologies to better empower health management practices, and help achieve the strategic goals of Healthy China as soon as possible.
