The Spirit of the Red Boat Reflects the Original Aspirations, and the Team Gathers to Compose a New Chapter | Dunwill Medical's 2025 Mid-Year Management Meeting has Successfully Concluded
The 2025 Mid-Year Management Meeting of Dunwill Medical was held on July 19-20, 2025, in Nanhu, Jiaxing, the birthplace of the Communist Party of China, under the theme of "mindfulness and steady progress". Ms. Wen Dong, Chairman of Dunwill Medical, and 27 core management team members from various centers of the company gathered together to embark on a meaningful journey of inheritance and learning.
The conference specially invited Professor Li Fenying from the Party School of Xiuzhou District Committee in Jiaxing City to share on the theme of "promoting the spirit of the Red Boat in combination with the characteristics of the times". Professor Li told everyone about the glorious history of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and accurately interpreted the core connotation of the Red Boat spirit of "pioneering, striving, and dedicating". She introduced that Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province is the birthplace of the CPC and the red boat spirit. The Red Boat not only witnessed the arduous entrepreneurial process of the CPC, but also carried their original intention and mission of loyalty to the people. By vividly telling the stories of the representatives of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and their historical development trajectory, Professor Li narrates the contemporary value and practical significance of the Red Boat Spirit, enabling everyone to deeply understand the meaning contained in the Red Boat Spirit and inspiring them to think about how to integrate this spirit into their daily work and contribute to the development of the company.
In the creative “naked heart” session, everyone first had a lively warm-up activity, and then shared their original intention of joining Dunwill, the confusion in their current work, and the inspiration and insights brought by the Red Boat spirit. These sincere sharing from the heart have stimulated the collision of thoughts, sparked heated discussions and broad resonance among everyone. Finally, based on their respective job responsibilities, everyone wrote down specific implementation commitments to uphold the spirit of the Red Boat, and solemnly put them into the "Red Boat mailbox". They will be reviewed and announced at the mid-year meeting next year.
In the afternoon special sharing session, three colleagues brought wonderful and professional sharing from different dimensions such as risk management, innovative research and development, and strategic planning. Colleagues in attendance also engaged in lively and productive discussions during the interactive session after the report, and actively provided suggestions for the future development of the company based on their own work.
Safety is the cornerstone of legitimate and compliant business operations for enterprises. While pursuing rapid development, Dunwill Medical always adheres to and builds a solid safety bottom line. Zhou Yijun, the EHS supervisor of the Operations Support Center, shared about the environmental, health, and safety management system. He used the national policy of "peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality" as an example to elaborate on the importance of corporate environmental responsibility. In terms of project management, he emphasized the EHS control process for the entire lifecycle of new projects and called on the management to play a leading role in demonstrating and instilling safety concepts in the hearts of every employee.
Dr. Peng Haixiang, Chief Technology Officer, shared a comparison of the innovation driven IVD R&D ecosystems between China and the United States, as well as an exploration of China's development path. He pointed out that the United States has significant advantages in research and development investment, technology transformation, and medical insurance support, while China, despite its large market size and rapid development, still has significant room for improvement in high-end technology and innovation quality. Dr. Peng emphasized that China can learn from the successful experience of the United States, combine its unique advantages, and promote the high-quality development of the IVD industry through policy support, talent cultivation, and market-oriented reforms. It is expected to achieve a leap from following to running parallel by 2030.
Dr. Hou Ying, Director of the Market and Strategic Development Center, used the metaphor of "why airplanes take off in headwinds" in her report to delve into strategic scrutiny during industry downturns. He analyzed in detail the market competition opportunities and pressures currently faced by the company, and pointed out that when facing industry downturns, enterprises should examine their own strategies from multiple aspects such as market, technology, talent, and funding, and seek opportunities in difficult situations. For example, emerging fields such as AI, digital transformation, and home inspection can be leveraged to break through bottlenecks through innovation and differentiated competition, ultimately achieving a strategic breakthrough from "headwinds" to "takeoff".
Finally, Ms. Wen Dong, the chairman of Dunwill Medical, summarized and planned the work of the past half year. Mr. Wen first expressed full recognition and heartfelt gratitude to the team for their hard work in the first half of the year. Meanwhile, she pointed out that the team will still face many challenges in the upcoming work. To this end, she innovatively proposed the "KISS" management model: "K" represents Keep doing, which means continuing to maintain a serious and rigorous work attitude; I "stands for Improvement, which means continuously improving technological innovation capabilities and comprehensive qualities, and adopting a" battlefield "strategy to respond more agilely to market changes; The first "S" represents Stop doing, which means abandoning the dependency mentality; The second "S" represents Start, which means taking quick action from top to bottom. Mr. Wen also made detailed arrangements for the work priorities of different departments, requiring each department to clarify their responsibilities, make every effort to achieve the established goals, and encourage everyone to maintain firm beliefs and the determination to continue striving, and forge ahead.
The next morning, in the shimmering waves of Nanhu Lake, everyone admired the Red Boat together, pursued the red historical imprint of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and felt the revolutionary spirit of that turbulent period. As the place where the CPC dreams to set sail, it is not only a witness of history, but also carries the firm belief and lofty spirit of revolutionary martyrs. Strolling by the South Lake, one can almost hear the passionate discussions of the past and feel the revolutionary spark that broke through the darkness. The red ship has become an eternal historical symbol, inspiring generation after generation to pursue their original aspirations and move forward courageously.
This trip to Nanhu is not only a learning journey, but also a spiritual baptism and team cohesion. 100 years ago, the Red Boat set sail in the misty rain, creating the history of China; 100 years later, the core team members of Dunwill look back on their journey back here. We hope that in the face of severe challenges from the external environment, we can never forget our original aspirations, guided by the spirit of innovation, struggle, and dedication, and draw an innovative development blueprint with Dunwill characteristics to create a better future!
