2023 National Cancer Prevention and Control Awareness Week - Cancer Prevention and Control, Comprehensive Action
April 15-21, 2023 is the 29th National Cancer Prevention and Control Awareness Week, the theme this year is "Cancer Prevention and Control, Comprehensive Action - All Population, All Cycle, and All Society". Experience at home and abroad shows that early prevention, early screening, early treatment and other prevention measures can significantly reduce the incidence rate and mortality of cancer, save costs, and benefit the country and people.
On April 19th, in the warm spring of Shenzhen, in order to promote the construction of health management discipline and the dissemination of tumor prevention work technology, and improve professional skills in health management, hosted by the Health Management Professional Committee of Shenzhen Medical Association and organized by the Health Management Center of Shenzhen People's Hospital, the academic seminar on health management in the Greater Bay Area and the 29th National Cancer Prevention and Control Awareness Week were successfully held in the conference room of the midsummer hall on the third floor of Shenzhen Shengtingyuan Hotel. The theme of this conference is "Talking about health together and smart escort".
Firstly, Professor Wu Weiqing, Director of the Health Management Center of Shenzhen People's Hospital, invited Professor Li Jingbo, Chief Management Expert of Shenzhen University General Hospital, to give an opening speech for this conference. Professor Li stated that traditional cancer screening methods such as imaging and endoscopy currently have many limitations. Therefore, developing cancer early detection technologies with higher cost-effectiveness is of great significance for China's tumor prevention and treatment work. In 2022, the National Health Commission officially released the "Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Primary Liver Cancer (2022 Edition)", which clearly states that plasma free microRNA can be used as a clinical early diagnostic marker for liver cancer. This indicates that the new technology of "liquid biopsy" for early diagnosis has become an effective means of diagnosing tumors, demonstrating its important value in early tumor diagnosis and efficacy evaluation.

Speaker, Professor Li Jingbo
The first report of this conference, "Construction and Implementation of Early Cancer Screening System in Health Management Discipline," was brought by Professor Hong Haiou from Anhui Provincial Hospital. Professor Hong introduced the relevant measures of early cancer screening in health management discipline, pointing out that reasonable and standardized screening strategies and techniques are important measures to improve the early diagnosis rate of tumors and the survival rate of tumor patients.
Speaker, Professor Hong Haiou
Next, Professor Chen Ran from the General Hospital of the Southern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army of China will bring you a wonderful report titled "Analyzing the Significance of Early Detection and Diagnosis of Tumors from the Perspective of Health Management". Professor Chen will provide a detailed introduction to common cancer screening methods and suggest that high-risk populations for cancer should undergo regular screening and effective prevention. For early screening of liver cancer, Professor Chen emphasized the introduction of a liver cancer diagnostic model using seven miRNA markers in plasma. The miRNA7TM test kit has significantly better diagnostic efficacy for extremely early liver cancer than traditional detection methods such as AFP and DCP. Early cancer screening will change the pattern of cancer diagnosis and treatment in China.
Speaker, Professor Chen Tan
Professor Liu Xiangchen from Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University shared the theme of "Application of Suitable New Technologies in Early Cancer Detection". Professor Liu shared the current situation and bottlenecks of early cancer detection. The existing traditional early cancer detection methods have many limitations, so developing cancer detection technologies with higher cost-effectiveness is of great significance for China's cancer prevention and treatment work. In the report, Professor Liu proposed that liquid biopsy is an ideal method for early detection of tumors, and multiple biomarkers can be applied to early detection of cancer. He also introduced in detail the research progress of cancer biomarkers such as DNA fragment, hydroxylation (5hmc), microRNA, and pointed out that the combination of multiple omics is the future development direction of early detection of cancer.
Speaker, Professor Liu Xiangchen
Finally, Professor Ouyang Ping from the Southern Hospital of Southern Medical University shared a thematic report titled "The Application of New Blood Molecular Markers miRNA in Health Management". Professor Ouyang introduced that due to the lack of traditional diagnostic and testing methods, liver cancer patients have not been able to achieve early detection and treatment in a timely manner. Most liver cancer patients are diagnosed in the middle and late stages, and the 5-year survival rate is much lower than other regions and countries. On January 17, 2022, the National Health Commission officially released the "Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines for Primary Liver Cancer (2022 Edition)", which clearly states that plasma free microRNA can be used as a clinical early diagnostic marker for liver cancer. At the same time, this detection technology has won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020. We believe that the application of miRNA7 detection in the field of liver cancer will greatly improve the 5-year survival rate of current liver cancer patients. We look forward to the wider development and use of such detection technology in clinical practice.
Speaker, Professor Ouyang Ping
Experts actively participate in this seminar to enhance clinical skills, promote disciplinary development, help more people raise their awareness of health management, improve the early diagnosis and cure rates of tumors, and contribute to the high-quality promotion of the Healthy China Cancer Prevention and Control Special Action. We believe that in the near future, efficient and accurate cancer early detection technology will change the pattern of cancer diagnosis and treatment in China. It has important clinical significance and social value in promoting early detection and treatment of cancer, improving patient survival rate, reducing mortality rate, and reducing social burden.
With the 29th National Cancer Prevention and Control Awareness Week being held nationwide, Dunwill Medical has also launched a series of activities to promote the concept of cancer prevention and control. In Dunwill Songjiang Office, a new batch of cute animals - small elephants have been displayed, symbolizing the establishment of a new world and the promotion of harmony and progress together.
